Hi,
I submitted ACS with 261312- developer/programmer and ACS has suggested me for 262113- system admin.I have not performed 262113 roles and mine is more of developer role. Should I mail back ACS describing my roles again for developer/programmer code? I am confused. My husband is also in a different occupation list MLTSSL. Pls advise what can be done to go with the original code 261312.

That usually means your experience letter matches better with a Sys Admin. So either you are wrong saying your roles match programmer better, or your experience letter was not properly written.

Well, you can try. Usually, unless you have missed some responsibilities in your experience letter, it'll be a challenge to convince the assessor.

Hi Admin,
I submitted ACS today with sysadmin as suggested by acs.. will it take another one month to get the result? Pls let me know.. thanks..
No. Definitely not 1 month.

Should be 1-2 working days only - because they already have assessed your experience.

Oh thank you so much.. my husband submitted acs and it's close to a month now.. when can I expect his result?
For new application submitted, its 1-2 months time.
For application re-submitted as per ACS recommended skill, it is 1-2 working days.

So your husband has submitted new application I believe? So i guess a month more now. Provided ACS don't require any clarifications.

Hi Admin, i have got my acs result today. system admin 262113 (as suggested by acs) with ICT major(Btech, IT). i have ten years of total experience, but acs has considered only 6 years 2 months. is it possible to get a clarification on why 3.10 months has been deducted? I worked as a contract employee for 2.2 years.. can that be the reason? Also, pls advise if i have to lodge 190 and 189 EOI now or after the states open? thanks in advance!

2 Years are deducted from your total work experience as your "Skill Level Requirement Met Date"

Please refer to Skill Assessment Guidelines for Applicants on ACS website. It has all the information.

For 262113 you can lodge 190 or 489 EOI. I don't think so 189 is open for that.
For 489 you have to apply for State Nomination (the state accepting applications for your skillset - they have their own set of conditions that you can refer on the State Governments website). Once your State Nomination application gets approved, you will get invitation to apply for Visa.

But in my case they have deducted 3 years 10 months.. that's what is confusing..190 I think there are no states.. they give on special conditions only for sysadmin

If you post the exact dates of your relevant employment, maybe I can try to make sense of that.

Has ACS accepted all of these as relevant?

Also, what is the date ACS says you meet the suitability criteria and when was your assessment result given?

I suspect you submitted your case on 27th April 2019?

In that case, ACS had 2 options:

1) Deduct 4 years from your total experience, which would result in June 2011 as the skill-met date, OR
2) Deduct 2 years from last 10 years experience, which would result in April 2011 as the skill-met date, OR

And I guess they went for option 2 for your benefit.

Check the following link for a detailed explanation of the ACS deduction rule
