Which code has better chances of invitation - 261313 or 261111

Hi All,

I was curious to understand which of the codes, 261313 (Software Engg) or 261111 (ICT Business Anlayst) have a better chance of invitation in 2019-20. I realize that the ceiling/quota for 261313 is higher but I would presume that the number of applicants would also be proportionally higher compared to 261111.

With 85, what would be a better option 261313 or 261111. Thanks in advance for your help !!

I reckon 261313 is better than 261111. But I will recommend to get assessed in System administrator and lodge eoi for nsw 190. Hopefully you will get pre-invite with in a week.

I saved myself not relying on NSW solely as they changed their rules for 190 - I am offshore
Well now I have applied for 190 - VIC which I see as the only viable option.

Does anyone know of any other state that a 261313 offshore candidate, without a job offer can apply ( other than Victoria )

Offshore and no job offer is a potent combo to be not allowed in any state I am in the same boat. Literally cant look at 491 and 190 (except Vic)

If you find out anything otherwise, please let me know as well.

1. Check you meet the Department of Home Affairs
2. Submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) for the Skilled Nominated visa (subclass 190) in the Department of Home Affairs' SkillSelectexternal link, and indicate your interest for Victorian nomination. You do not need to notify Victoria that you have submitted an EOI.
3. Regularly check your email (including your junk mail folder) to see if you have been selected by Victoria. There is no set timeframe to expect an invitation after submitting an EOI.

So the answer is, only applied for 190 via Skillselect and indicated Victoria as the choice. Hope I am not missing anything here.

Correct. Only EOI is required at this moment then wait for the pre-invite
