Dear All, I have few clarifications while trying to lodge visa application for 189 Visa class. Request 1: There was a question related - Non-migrating members of the family unit Does the applicant have any members of their family unit not travelling to Australia who are not Australian citizens or Australian permanent residents? YES / NO I chose YES. Now, Whom to include in the non-migrating members of the family unit? I am staying with my spouse and daughter in Singapore for more than 6 years. My parents and parents-in-law are staying in India. Should I include them as non-migrating family members? Pls scroll below after Request 5 to know what is non-migrating member as defined by Australian Immigration Request 2: In Step 12 of Step 17 for Visa lodging, there is a question which asks as follows: Has the applicant completed, or is currently enrolled in, any studies at secondary level or above? YES / NO I chose YES. Is it enough if I just specify my bachelors and masters degree or should I specify my high school also? Request 3: There was one question related to Australian Study Requirement as follows: Does the applicant meet the Australian study requirements for the Skilled Migrations points test? YES / NO I chose NO. When I looked at the help, it says that one must have studied in Australia to choose YES, so I choose NO. But just thought of getting a confirmation from experts in this forum Request 4: In Step 13 of Step 17, there was one question Employment history - Has the applicant been employed during the 10 year period before their invitation to lodge this application? Would be glad to have your responses? Once I get answers for these 5 request, i would be able to lodge my application and the entire credit goes to migrationdesk.com especially to persons like @MysticRiver and all others who responded patiently ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ I have pasted the help information provided by Australian Immigration on Non-migrating members of the family unit as below? Non-migrating members of the family unit Include any member of your family unit who would normally be included in this application but who does not require a visa. This member of your family unit may not be migrating to Australia or they may hold Australian citizenship. There are further questions on the partner visa forms to gather information about the applicant's extended family members. In some circumstances, this member of the family unit will be required to undergo health and character clearances. This member of your family unit may wish to migrate later but must be aware that they will need to meet visa eligibility requirements in their own right at that time unless they meet visa requirements as part of this application and can travel within the validity of the visa. A family member who already holds a valid visa or Australian Citizenship who may be travelling to Australia for residence with the family unit will not need to be included in the family migration application. However, they should be recorded as non-migrating members of your family unit. Note: If this non-migrating member of your family unit does not hold a passport then enter their name and date of birth but leave the passport details questions blank
