Hi,
Is it possible that I can work in other state on 489 visa when working for current employer?
If I work for 2-3 months in other state and work back in nominated state, is that acceptable for Permanent resident path?

I think you need to fulfill 1-year job and 2 years' living criteria in total, not necessarily it has to be continuous.

That's a decade old debate. Theoretically, you should be living and working in the regional area of the sponsoring state, but in practice, have seen many violated this without an issue so far. Also, if you see your visa condition, that doesn't say anything about living in-state though the state websites mention that as a criterion for nomination.

They have not had issue with applying for 887 PR visa, but what about citizenship? That is what to be concerned on, breaking obligation and commitment may be bad for character assessment on citicenship.

Has anyone got citizenship after not living in sponsore state without release letter?

If you show that you have tried to live in the sponsoring state/region but we’re not successful finding a job then they may give you a letter releasing you to live in other regional areas.

I am also interested to know the answer, but so far haven't found anyone.
