Effect of promotion while the 186 VISA application is still in progress

Hi Team,

I have lodged my 186 VISA application in February 2018 and I have got a promotion in July 2018 with more or less same roles and responsibilities i.e., from senior software engineer to principal software engineer. My VISA application is still in progress.

I have let my MARA agent know but is it something to worry about? While filing application I have submitted all the required documentation such as Skill Assesment etc.

As long as you don't change employers I don't think there's much to worry.

Just to be specific, my role is the same as filled at the time of application filing. My concern is that will I have to do the skill assessment again?

Yes, I did submit the application already. Wondering, if its ok to avoid mentioning about the promotion as this is just an incremental change. Just don't want to add any complexity to the VISA assessment when CO is assigned.

I tend to believe that should be okay.
