Thanks Mohsin for your prompt reply.

I completed my Electronics & Communication. engineering in April 2004.Although it is ECE the degree been assessed as comparable to an
AQF Bachelor Degree with a Major in computing due to higher content of ICT.

Now I have two questions
1) Why did ACS deduct 4 years although it declared my degree has major in computing.
2) If it has deducted 4 years due to my degree being, although major in computing but, not relevant to nominated occupation then as per my work history my “Skill Level Requirement Met Date date should start from 12th May 2012 .Is that correct? ( Please see below my work experience.)

Dates: 05/08 - 03/17 - 8 year(s) 10 month(s)
Country: India

Dates: 03/17 - 08/18 - 1 year(s) 5 month(s)
Country: Australia

Apologies for the long post , I am just short of 2 months for my experience at offshore to claim the 10 points. I returned back to offshore on 14 Mar 2019 from when my Indian work experience is counting in the same role and same company.
So if I count from 1st May 2012 I have the required 5 years at offshore.

Seems the only logical explanation
Skill Level Requirement Met Date date should start from 12th May 2012 .Is that correct
Both options are correct, many people used the 1st date of the mentioned month (1st May in your case, for example) while others, being on the safe side, used 1st of the next month mention in their ACS report. As the report says "After May", so better be on the safe side and use from 1st June but 1st May would also be correct as per the past experiences of people

I see thanks Mohsin, I am quite desperate to do use it from May 1st as I am in need of the 5 points. Do you suggest waiting till next month 15th or claim it from 1st May to get ahead in the queue right away.

If you are sure to receive an invite in the next round then you can use otherwise I would suggest to wait for one month and leave your current job "to date" as blank. Within a month your points will be automatically increased

Thank you Mohsin for your patient replies. This morning I called up the ACS and they also confirmed that the exact skill met requirement date is 12/05/2012. So i need to wait for the extra 15 days to claim the points for the added experience.
This is below dates for which ACS did my assessment and offcourse removed the 4 years. Now I moved back to India recently but continuing in the same role and same organisation. As per my understanding I could just claim the experience without going for ACS again. But the executive on phone in ACS told me otherwise. She said that I need to apply for ACS again to claim the added experience. Is that true?
I cant thank you enough for all your help Mohsin.

G’day Mohsin,

Hope you all are doing well.

I’m in process of starting my ACS assignment (Software Engineer),have 11 years’ experience as software engineer starting Jan 2008, wondering if you could assist\guide me with below queries -

1- Completed Engineering in Electronic and Communication, India - How many years will be deducted by ACS, Do I need to prepare RPL?

2- I have got my R&R from my current and previous companies with Software Engineer duties on company letter head, but designation is mentioned as Consultant in one company and ITSM engineer in another, Is this an issue ?

Cheers,
Sailaja.

If your responsibilities are a close match, it won't be a deal-breaker. Though the CO might raise a question, you need to explain truthfully.
