IMMIACCOUNT - UPDATE AND ACCESS

Dear all,

I was granted 489 visa in September 2017. I had applied through an agent. In November 2017 I made my 1st entry along with family and returned to my work place in middle east. I am permanently moving to NSW by September 2018. As my passport validity was less I renewed my passport. The same was mailed to DIBP at [email protected]. But the reply from DIBP is update the details in IMMIACCOUNT.

My question is how can I access the IMMIACCOUNT and upload the documents. As per agent they do not have access to our immiaccount currently.

Create an immiaccount of your own, and import the application on to it, by using the reference details provided to you in the visa fees receipt.
Update the passport via the Update Us button.

Thank you for the reply.

But creating an immiaccount and transferring data is possible until the visa is issued only na? Is it also possible and is it a proper way to create one and transfer data. Also as I understand we will not have access to upload documents if we r creating a duplicate version.

Please advise... @MysticRiver ur advise too

That, am not so sure though.

Also as I understand we will not have access to upload documents if we r creating a duplicate version.

That understanding is wrong, since I imported my application which was submitted by an agent, and then had some uploading on my own.

Nothing much to add. If you are having any trouble in updating, just carry both the passports and you will be absolutely fine at the immigration

Thank u dileep nd @MysticRiver . One last doubt. I opened a new immi account nd transfered my details. While trying to upload new passport, they ask reason for new passport. As I have renewed my passport 11 months before expiry, what reason should I click. Options are 1. expired 2. Cancelled 3. Damaged 4. Stolen nd so on... my passport wasn't expired, but I renewed ahead nd thus my previous passport got cancelled. Please advise
