Hello,
Does anyone know the current waiting time on 2nd WHV after they have requested the “additional documents”?
My processing time says 11-32 days, I send documents on 20th December.
However, I have friends who have only just got theirs back and they applied in September and said their processing time kept changing.
Any help much appreciated, currently stranded in New Zealand!

View attachment 775

Incomplete: You have started an online application but you have not completed the form.

Ready to submit: You have completed the online application form but have not yet paid the application charge, or have saved the application without submitting.

Awaiting documents: You have completed the online application form but have not provided the required supporting
documentation.
  • This status only applies when documentation must be provided before the application is submitted. It is currently only used for citizenship applications.
Awaiting payment: You have indicated that you have paid the application charge via BPay and we are waiting for the bank to confirm that the payment has been processed.
  • This status only applies to application types that have a BPay option.
Submitted: Your application has been submitted and received by the department.

Application received: Your application has been received and will be assessed within advertised application processing timeframes.
  • Please note that if you repeatedly contact the department for an update on the processing of your application it can slow down processing.
Information requested: An immigration officer has assessed the application and found that more information is required. They have requested that you provide further evidence in support of the application. You should attach the requested documents in ImmiAccount and use the Request complete button to indicate that you have provided all the requested information.

Assessment in progress: You have provided the requested information. The department may proceed to make a decision on your application. The department may also ask you for further information. In this case, the status will return to Information requested.
  • If you submitted your application before 17 April 2015, the status will be shown as Assessment in progress unless a new request for information has been sent after that date.
Finalised: A decision has been made on the application. You will be notified of the decision by email or post.

Hi,
Is it the same in case of direct grant as well? Or there is any change in the status flow after application received status?

For a direct grant, of course, you won't have a status like "Information requested", otherwise it should be same.

Can anyone tell me about the estimated processing time after CO assigned?

My brother’s 190 application was lodged on 14th Nov, CO requested more information on 10th Jan. We responded with information on the same day and also clicked on “information provided” button in immiaccount. Since then no update received.

Right now, the status is “Assessment in Progress” and the “Estimated Processing Time” is shown as “7months to 9 months”.

Anyone in the similar situation as us can suggest me what is your estimated processing time shown as?

Many Thanks..

Estimated Processing Time” is shown as “7months to 9 months”.
The Estimated processing time shown is the global processing time, which is common for all cases coming under 190. They do not reveal the required time for individual cases.

Hi MysticRiver,

I applied for a Subclass 189 Visa after invitation on the 16/10/2017 and submitted all document and completed Health check by the 20/10/2017. I received an email from GSM saying the Assessment commenced on 04/12/2017 (CO assigned). However, I have not been requested for more information? Is this common in your knowledge?

Also, in my Immi account, it only says application received, and not in progress. Is this correct given the above?

You will be questioned only if something is missing or any extra evidence is required. No contact is not necessarily a bad thing.

Also, in my Immi account, it only says application received, and not in progress. Is this correct given the above?
I never give too much emphasis on that status inside ImmiAccount.

I applied for a tourist visa on the 24th of January and have still not heard back from the Australian embassy in Austria. My status says assessment in progress? My partner leaves on Tuesday the 20th of Feb and the plan was to go with him for three months.

Do you think contacting the embassy would help in any way? Asking them if they have received all the information?

You can try, but it's unlikely that they can help you with this matter. The tourist visa (not the family sponsored tourist visa) should be processed within 1-2 weeks. Did you mention that 20 Feb deadline in the visa form (there is a field where they ask for any specific deadline)?

@MysticRiver this may be repeat query for you. But eager to know from you based on your vintage
today global visa time for 489 ss changed from 5-8 months to unavailable due to low quantum. Confused with the waiting time now. Any guess remaining applications will be processed faster or anything

Nobody except DIBP would know this answer. As a matter of fact, DIBP wouldn't know as well.

Hi @MysticRiver,

Not sure whether I noticed this before but I saw it today. My spouse is the primary applicant and the name changed post marriage. In the entire application, we had mentioned post marriage name and mentioned the previous name based on the questions in the application. Today, I noticed that the landing page of the Immi Account(where application status and estimated processing time is mentioned) has her Previous Name while inside the application, its all the correct information. Do you think, we should be concerned about this misrepresentation?

Regards

It should not be a major issue. Contact your CO.

Applied for 190, 7 months before..still waiting and the status changed to further assessment...how long will it take again 😫😫
the status change is just a terminology change. don't worry about it. Regarding the duration, cannot be predicted. will be mostly in accordance to the global processing times.

Hi, can someone help me out, we have applied for an offshore partner visa, since submitting it has said "assessment in progress" now today it says "further assessment" but no mention of a CO. my partner is due to arrive in Aus on thursday to visit but we are not sure who to contact to ask for warning before they accept. Does futher assessment mean they are looking to approve it soon?

Consider before posting:
  • Do not post the same thing in multiple places.
  • No personal contact and/or non-English phrase is allowed.
  • Always post in a relevant thread or open a new one.
  • Better to use the reactions in a post to congratulate/thank.
