TAS Employment offer in Tasmania

Dear mates,
As we know that Tasmania needs an Employment offer related to your skill for state nomination (190 visa). But my Employer in Tasmania is asking that "How long it will take to get the visa" because he cannot keep that position vacant for a long time.
Now let me assume 3 months for state nomination process and 9 months for visa, How can an Employer keep one position vacant for a year??
Any idea?

That's a business decision for the employer - i guess it depends how much they need you! and if they are willing to wait

Assuming you are onshore with full time working rights, you may be able to speed up the State nomination process by providing the job offer and you once the nomination receive you can apply for VISA and you will be granted a bridging visa with the same working rights as the previous visa. So you can fly to TAS and start working until you receive your visa.

Absolutely, that's unfair situation and its near to impossible for employer keeping the position vacant for a year. And for offshore candidate it's not possible.

VIC Needs 5 years of experience but unfortunately, I have experience of 4 years and i do not expect that Victoria will be available till next year.

Education: Mechanical Engineering (15)
Experience: 3.5 years (5)
PTE: proficient (10)

So total 60 and I am trying for 190 visa

Firstly, If you have already applied then can't say anything, and if not then

• Improve your PTE score to 79+ to score 20 for language test.
• If you have left with few years in turning to 32 then wait and complete 5 years of experience.

This can benefits you with extra 15 points and you will able to get190 ITA easily with 80 points in any eligible state.

Secondly, 489 is provisional visa not a PR, so there is not benefit of a Australia citizen except you have full work rights. Moreover, it's like trap you can't get PR without living and working in regional area, jobs are really available to those who have some references from local bodies.

In short, it's for those who are already living here in poor conditions and no matter whatever they need to migrate.

I am from Chandigarh, and living in most beautful city of country so won't go to NT or TAS just to earn some extra bucks. Because I am far better here than moving to NT and TAS.

Dear Maandeswal, I agree with you but I want to suggest that if you really want to go to Australia do it fast because their rules are very volatile. Government have a plan to provide a regional visa for 4 years and then PR. So be prepared.

If you get nominated by TAS your points will be 70. If you have money, apply for both 489tas and 190tas.

Well TAS has one good thing and that is whole TAS is regional so you can work in Hobart on your 489.

Getting job is same in whole world, like every country has only few cities with plenty of jobs and rest struggle to turn the stone.

It can be hard but not impossible to secure a job, you need to understand the how TAS industry work with a particular occupation and what are demands and how you can fulfill them.

Well you might followed the below points I am mentioning which many of my friends discussed with me about there journey in a getting a good job

• Stay away from your own mini country, means people from your native land. Join local community for better learning about your new home country.
• Create connection with your industry people on LinkedIn, be genuine with them not just a way of getting job and forget.
• Apply each vacancy and restructure your resume for each post according requirement of post and understand how you can fulfill that. You must write that in your cover letter.
• Learn more about your new home land, explorer more and learn more.
• Stay away from negative people around you, they are those who are failures in their life they can't give you any meaningful information.
• Australia is your new land, so first you should start trusting on it and in return you will get more.

Nothing comes so easily anywhere in the world so work hard but more smartly.

Bro there is no such thing "loopholes" in migration, everything differ from case to case. There must be few things which worked for him but can go against you or which didn't worked for him can work for you.

I have seen strong cases rejected due to some silly mistakes and also week cases got granted even mistakes were hidden by luck/chance. You can collect common information from others but prepare your own case with own findings and studies.

Whatever information you provide you should aware of that and have deep understanding of that, not like someone suggested or agent told to do so.
So be transparent with everything, transparency will bring you confidence and you know very well confidence play vital role everywhere.

In nutshell, gather all relevant and irrelevant information and prepare your case study, deep understanding of your case and future aspects will pay you off one day . Good Luck

I don't know any such loopholes. I did everything genuinely. As I have no idea about this migration process, I hired agent and trusted him fully. I even paid for those reports and all.

Whatever you do, do not try to find loopholes and exploit. I bet DHA has seen it all and you will get caught.
