Vetassess Outcome Positive, what are my chances?

Hello,

My Vetassess assessment came positive and I've submitted my EOI in Victoria, Melbourne under sub class 190 with 80 points (including state nomination) on 11/07/2017. My agent tells me i'll definitely get the visa. He says once Vetassess result comes positive, there is not much to worry about. I'm getting worried and impatient. Can i be assured of getting the visa??

First step is getting an invitation, and that has nothing to do with VETASSESS. In some occupation, people with a positive assessment and 60 points might not get an invitation in months. Invitation is totally based on your total point, the more point you have, the higher chances you have. So, getting a positive assessment does mot guarantee anything.

Having said that, you have a bery good point of 80, and most likely you will get an invitation pretty soon. Once you get an invitation, you'll submit visa application and get the visa of your documentation (including police clearance and health certificate) is solid. However, the visa processing time varies a lot case to case, can be a month or less to more than a year.

Thanks very much!

Hey Guys,

My VETASSES came negative. Even though my agent said that If I finished my degree in SA and work experience of 12mnths would be good enough to get it positive.

My Degree is highly not relevant(MBA International Business).
My Work Experience is not good enough.
I do not do the jobs which are in ANZSCO, which I highly disagree with.
Then only thing different is my Job Title which is Commercial Co-ordinator but under the skilled list it falls under Project Administrator.
Can someone please advise what are my options.

Regards

If you have neither experience nor qualification to be assessed as a listed skill assessment in Australia, you can't apply for PR. You might want to apply for other kinds of visas (e.g. work visa/student visa) or try an alternate country (e.g. Canada).

Thank you for your reply. However when I spoke to my agent he said all you need is a Degree from an SA university and 12mths experience is enough to get a positive response.
All the task mentioned in ANZSCO are exactly the same. only difference if that my designation is Commercial Co-ordinator and not Project administrator.
Even though I work for a multi National and have a Signed document from HR about my job role and tasks I perform.
Still Negative. I do not understand why ?
Please Help.

If you do NOT have a relevant degree or experience, you'll not get a positive assessment. So, it's up to you how you can convince VETASSESS that your qualification/job (for some skills both are required, for others only experience is enough) is relevant.

I am just sharing my experience with VETASSESS. My qualification is multimedia design and the nominated occupation is graphic designer. This qualification would normally not be assessed highly relevant. What i did was providing them with an official statement from my course coordinator and an affidavit explaining how the assignments, projects, tutorials, lecturers and subjects/units in that course equipped me with relevant skills and knowledge as a graphic designer.

As for work experience, the difference in the title of positions/roles is not generally a big issue. The important thing is you provide job description of each role that is consistent throughout you documents (resume, statement of service, employment contract, etc) and matches the job description established by ANZSCO. I suggest you use key words/key phrases in ANZSCO and put them in a personalised context. The VETASSESS officer assessing your occupation is not necessarily an expert in that particular field. They generally follow a manual and guideline to do the assessment.

Another thing you could do is having a consultation with VETASSESS (SAS) prior to submitting your documents for an assessment. You have to pay for it and it's not cheap. But it saves money if you're not sure.

Hey Man - I have done a one-year diploma in website design/Multimedia Designer from one private institute, which is not recognized by any University, along with that I my qualification is M. Com from Gujarat University. So what do you thing? Is there a chance to get VETASSESS positive response? My all paperwork has been done. I heard from the consultant that there is a chance to get VETASSESS positive response but they cut 5years from your total work experience.
