ACS assessment suitability criteria - Year deduction from experience

Hi there am just a diploma graduate also working for some time now but am looking forward to apply for a subclass 189 in 5-6 years and planing to do a BCA, MCA, PhD distance in India.
I have a couple of doubts:
1. Will a BCA be counted as a valid bachelors degree for the migration? (Like a BCA from IGNOU, India)
2. As am expecting to build a good amount of experience while studying distance what is the whole thing about "experience years deduction"? (a quick link to some valid source will be helpful)

In short, if you show education while working then either is not counted. So if you want to show some education then dont show experience in those years or vice versa.

Then i did postgraduate diploma (1 year) course in IT (completed 2014).
Now, I have 6 completed years of experience in IT working as software/web developer (continuously working from 2014 to till date)

What can i likely expect for education qualification equivalent in AQF and how much of my work experience is actually considered?

If your diploma is considered as ICT major, your 4 years of relevant experience will like to be deducted and remaining you can claim for points. For bachelor, you can separately get an assessment (Point test advice) from Vetassess and claim bachelor points

I have a question regarding the 2 years of experiences required for this visa.

In my 3 years of experience one year has been done during my last year of my Bachelor as a part time (25h/week) and the next 1.5 years after.

With my actual situation I am not sure if I am eligible to the visa and if my assessment will be positive. I have seen that ACS required to work for 2 years after you get graduate than after these 2 years, the next years are counting for the Skilled Employment Points as years of experience.

In my case with only 2 years after graduate am I eligible ?

Do you need 2 years just for the ACS assessment? If yes, then you can use your experience during your graduation for ACS purposes where they will deduct the relevant experience (even during education) and provide you a positive assessment. But if it is required for visa purposes, you might be able to claim if it was done under the industry placement/internship option. See TSS 482 visa eligibility for details.

Have worked in your nominated occupation or a related field for at least 2 years​

You must have at least 2 years relevant work experience in the nominated occupation or a related field.
Such work experience must be completed while working in the nominated occupation or performing tasks at the same skill level in a related field.
Work experience gained in a related field would involve tasks which are the same or closely related to those of the nominated position you intend to work as outlined in the Australian and New Zealand Standard Classification of Occupations (ANZSCO)..
Generally, you should have gained your experience on a full-time basis within the last 5 years. The period does not need to be continuous. We might consider equivalent part-time work. We do not consider casual work.
Other ways you may be able to demonstrate your work experience could include where you have gained your experience:

• as part of a Masters and/or PhD - for relevant occupations, such as medical and research occupations
• while studying through a formal arrangement such as a clinical or industry placement, internship or apprenticeship

If the formal arrangement as specified above was:

• part of a CRICOS registered course, the study must have been relevant to the nominated occupation. For example, medical practitioners could count experience gained through internships or their final year of medical training, including periods of clinical placements.
• not part of a CRICOS registered course, the study must have been undertaken at the skill level of the relevant occupation

I am having below query. Kindly help for the same.

I am having Non ICT degree for my Bachelors(from India) and I have now 6 years of work experience in Software/ICT industry(3 years overseas and 3 years in Australia). So, will all 6 years of my experience will be deducted by ACS for skill assessment? I have submit RPL, can I get 15 points which I am losing for 6 years of work experience. Also, will I get 15 points for my degree/qualification even though it's non - ICT? Thanks in advance for your help.

Probably.

RPL doesn't revive any deducted experience for point claim. Having said that, I heard DHA is now allowing applicants to claim points for deducted experience (nothing to do with RPL, in general). Although I am not aware of any one successfully claimed that.

Also, will I get 15 points for my degree/qualification even though it's non - ICT?

Yes, if it is assessed as equivalent to Australia bachelors degree.

Hey there, Admin. I've got a few questions but I'll try to limit this post to just a couple of them and maybe ask the following ones later or even in another thread.
I've got an Australian master's degree in Information Technology. I plan on doing a Professional Year Program (PYP) in the very near future. I was trying to wrap my head around the process of getting my skills assessed as my ultimate goal is to get a 189 visa. From what I've understood so far, to meet the suitability criteria, I've got to have an Aussie degree and then have either 1 year of relevant work experience or have completed an Australian Computer Society (ACS) PYP.
As I was reading one of the documents available on the ACS website, I ran into the following:

Only employment completed after the date you have met the ACS suitability criteria will be counted as Skilled Employment and eligible for migration points.

What does "the date" refer to here? Is it the date of completion for my master's degree? Or is it the date at which I'll have completed my PYP? I ask because I'm currently employed and if the date referred to in that quote is the date at which I'll finish my PYP, does this mean that my current employment won't count for anything?
