You need at least 65 points to submit an EOI. The more point you gather, the higher chance you have of getting an invitation.

You must be under 45 at the time you recieve an invitation to apply for the visa.

@MysticRiver My age is 32 right now and I am expecting to get an invitation in next round (11th Oct 2018). My birthday falls on End of the October.
As we can see if I move from 32 to 33, i am going to lose 5 points.
Consider a scenario in which I am receiving an invitation on 11th Oct, followed by a visa application before I turn 33.
My question is,
Due to the fact that the whole post invitation process takes a lot of time, will it invalidate my EOI and hence my application as soon as I turn 33?

That'll be no issue at all. All you need is to get an invitation before you turn into 33. Though it's not necessary to apply as well (because points are calculated at the date of invitation, not application), I would still try to lodge application before 33rd birthday, just for the peace of mind.

There seems to be some confusion over skilled employment outside australia. They seems to take first 2 years of employment as internship, and the actual employment is considered after that. There also is confusion if the employment period done before the degree is completed as null and void. How true is that.

Depends on assessing body. Like for engineers,engineer australia takes full employment into consideration while for ICT, ACS deducts 2-6 years of experience. DHA doesnt consider employment to claim points which is prior to the degree
